Getting The Most From Your Iced Coffee Experience…

Getting The Most From Your Iced Coffee Experience…

In case you haven’t noticed, iced coffee is kinda taking the world by storm…

Growing in popularity over the last few years, iced coffee accounts for over 20% of coffee drinking in the United States alone. That’s a pretty healthy number! It has been my personal drink of choice for some time now. If I had to take a guess, it likely started when I was working bar and, like many baristas realize, I would never (pretty much ever) get a chance to drink my coffee while it was hot. It’s just the nature of serving the coffee masses. Embracing my cold coffee fate, I fell for iced brews pretty hard and haven’t really looked back.

This isn’t to say I never indulge in the expanding universe of amazing hot coffee offerings. It’s just that there are several reasons I’ve come to rely on my trusty chilled cup of joe. Like many coffee drinkers, my first cup of the day is about two things- 1. waking up and 2. not having to think about said waking up. Baristas are regular humans too. Iced coffee is ready. Iced coffee can be sipped immediately without fear of burning our precious tongues. Iced coffee nearly always tastes the same day after day. It’s low maintenance and pretty hassle free. Iced coffee is always there for you.

We at Roast Ratings decided that it was high time that we take a little closer look at this growing trend. We devised different experiences that would aid us in this quest to better understand our options when it comes to iced coffee and to answer the basic questions- what’s worth the time? And, of course, what’s worth the money?

Here’s a quick look at what we’re exploring…
