Cupping Evaluation
Cupping Details
Dry anise and pipe tobacco smoke come forward in the nose. The body is rather non-descript and flat, but not offputting. A very low acid profile focuses this coffee on the roast degree rather than origin character. A slight sweetness of roasty malt and pipe tobacco peak through at times to hold back the powerful bitter carbon and rubber notes. Suited for pairing with highly sweetened desserts or cream and sugar.

Brewing Evaluation
Brewing Details
Intensely smoky in the aroma with tons of roasty notes, complimented by a full body that coats the palate. Very low in acid and sweetness. A distinctly bold take on the Colombian origin, being mostly represented by smokey carbon, unsweetened chocolate, and black malt that in reminiscent of very dry stout. Finishing with a dry and intense bitterness, this coffee is unapologetic in its approach and is perfect for anyone who wants an intense jolt of flavor.
