Cupping Evaluation

Cupping Details

A veritable cornucopia of aromas, the break releases tropical fruits, plum, malty sweetness and even hints of boysenberry. Full and juicy, the first tastes are velvety and round on the tongue. Bright and intense, we easily get grapefruit, persimmons and some granny smith apple. A bit overpowered by the acidity, the sweetness comes subtly across as honey or sugar cane. With very little in the bitterness department, the lowest tones are of cocoa and a soft tannic black tea. Winey, its tart glow fades quickly into a sticky sweet candy.

Brewing Evaluation

Brewing Details

Jammy and sweet, the nose is immediately met with rich dark fruits & brown sugar. Full and juicy, the body is coating with a hint of dryness. As we begin to taste, intense brightness dominates the cup, causing a glowing sensation in the cheeks. As the acidity fade we get into sweeter and richer tones of dark brown sugar laced with complexities of fresh herbs and cocoa. As the flavor begin to fade, we are left with dark chocolate and soft plum. Like many a classic Kenyan it is Instense, Full Bodied & Fruity.
