Cupping Details

Aromas of brown sugar, pear, stone fruit, and perfumed flowers dominated the cupping. The body came through medium in weight, chocolatey in texture, and overall rather smooth. The acidity was balanced with subtle citrus notes and juicy apricot, slightly more dominant than the sweet characters of chocolate and brown sugar. A smattering of nuts, black malt, and tannins created a complex profile, and a long and pithy finish rounded out the experience.

Brewing Details

This coffee performed quite well as a brew, with rich and deep aromatics enticing the nose when we poured it. A juicy, round, and overall smooth body made for pleasurable drinking. A complex and balanced acidity never overwhelms the senses and plays nicely with deep and rich sweet tones throughout. In the end this coffee lingers softly, with nutty and chocolatey character.
